Dear Students!
The system of electronic submission of applications for places in student dormitories (2024/25) of the Catholic University of Lublin are be launched. The application can be found in the “Applications” tab on your e-KUL / e-Rekrut account. The first application round runs until July 12, 2023. Please see below for details on how to qualify under the new rules.
Few information:
1. A place in a Dormitory is granted on the student’s request.
The application should indicate the preferred – selected DS.
- ul. Konstantynów 1B/A – Lublin (male house)
- ul. Konstantynów 1D – Lublin (female house)
- ul. Niecała 8 – Lublin (male and married home)
- ul. Ofiar Katynia 6 – Stalowa Wola (separate male and female part)
2. MINORS may apply for a place in student dormitories on the basis of the parent’s or legal guardian’s declaration submitted during recruitment.
3. The submission of the application consists in:
– correctly filling in and approving the application on the e-Kul / e-Rekrut platform)
4. The priority in granting a place in a student dormitory is determined primarily by qualification for a maintenance grant (and it concerns Poles or people with a Pole’s card), including:
– distance from the permanent place of residence:
– difficult financial situation (based on monthly income per person in the family);
– orphan-hood;
– disability;
– raising a child alone;
– continuation of accommodation;
– timely payment of fees in previous years;
– date of submission of the application.
Persons wishing to take advantage of the priority rules for assigning a place in SD are required to attach a copy of the disability degree certificate to the application. The remaining priority data should be provided in the application.
The method of calculating the amount of income can be found at www.kul.pl/pomocmaterialna.
5. Applications for a place in SD submitted by:
a. July 10th – will be considered on July 12th at a KDS meeting;
b. July 24th – will be considered on July 26th at the KDS meeting;
c. August 7th – will be considered at the KDS meeting on August 9th;
d. August 27th – will be considered at the KDS meeting on August 29th;
e. September 21 – will be considered by September 23 at the KDS meeting.
6. Information about granting or refusing to grant a place in SD is provided only in electronic form by publishing it on your e-KUL/e-Rekrut account. Information can also be obtained in person at DS.
7. According to the Recruitment schedule 2024/25:
1. The KDS meeting on July 12th 2024 will mainly consider applications submitted by current residents and students from the second year up and by those who have not lived in student dormitories of the Catholic University of Lublin,
2. At the KDS meeting on July 26th and August 9th 2024, mainly applications submitted by students recruited for bachelor’s degree (BA), master’s degree (MA) and MA long -cykle 5 year programme,
3. At the KDS meeting on August 29th 2024, applications submitted, in the case of vacancies, applications of students and people from outside KUL,
4. At the KDS meeting on September 23 2024, all other applications will be considered.
So, If you are starting your studies at KUL this year, apply for a dorm no earlier than July 13th!
8. An applicant who has been granted a place in a DS is obliged to confirm the acceptance of a place in a DS by paying a reservation deposit in the amount of the monthly fee for the allocated place within:
a. By July 19th – the place granted on July 12th;
b. By August 2 – the place granted on July 26th;
c. By August 16th – the place granted on August 9th;
d. By September 5th – the place granted on August 29th;
e. By September 30th – the place granted on September 23th.
The deposit is a security for the costs of repairing any damage caused to the dormitory or failure to settle the fee for accommodation in the dormitory. The deposit is returned at the student’s request, after the final departure from the dormitory during the period for which the accommodation was granted in accordance with § 4 of the Regulations of the Student Dormitories of the Catholic University of Lublin.
Information on the amount and method of making the payment is included in the information on the allocation of the place. No payment means resignation.
9. The method of selecting the preferred room / segment and the personal composition will be available after September 10 on the website of a specific dormitory.
10. People from outside the Catholic University of Lublin who would like to live in the Dormitory of the Catholic University of Lublin should complete the editable PDF application, and then send a scan of the signed printout to the e-mail address of the relevant student dormitory.
