Application
Application for student housing for the academic year 2025/26.
1. The submission of an application involves the accurate completion and formal confirmation of the application form via the e-KUL/e-Recruitment platform.
2. The application is available under the ‘applications’ tab on your e-KUL. or e-Rekrut account (the “Accommodation” tab). The application will only be available to those who are studying or have confirmed their choice of study at KUL. The first round of applications runs until 23 July 2025.
3. Accommodation in a student residence is assigned based on a student’s submitted application.
The application should indicate the applicant’s preferred student residence:
– ul. Konstantynów 1D “Konstantyna” – Lublin (student residence hall for women)
– ul. Konstantynów 1A “Idzi” – Lublin (student residence hall for men)
– ul. Konstantynów 1B “Karol” – Lublin (student residence hall for men)
– ul. Niecała 8 “Idzi” – Lublin (men’s + matrimonial residence hall)
– ul. Ofiar Katynia 6 “Stella” – Stalowa Wola (separate men’s and women’s sections)
4. MINORS may apply for a place in the student residence halls on the basis of a declaration by a parent or legal guardian submitted while applying.
5. Submitting an application consists of:
– correct completion and validation of the application on the e-Kul/e-Rekrut platform)
Applications can be submitted by any interested student.
6. Priority for a place in a student residence hall is determined primarily by eligibility for a social grant including:
– distance from permanent residence;
– financial hardship (based on monthly income per person in the family);
– orphanhood;
– disability;
– single parenting;
– continuation of accommodation;
– timely payment of fees in previous years;
– date of application.
Persons wishing to take advantage of the priority rules for the allocation of a place in student residence hall are required to attach a copy of their disability certificate to their application. Other priority details must be provided in the application.

7. Applications for a place in student residence hall submitted by:
a. 23 July – shall be considered on 25 July at the Committee for Student Residence Affairs meeting;
b. 5 August – shall be considered 7 August at the Committee for Student Residence Affairs meeting;
c. 9 September – shall be considered on 11 September at the Committee for Student Residence Affairs meeting;
d. 22 September – shall be considered on 24 September at the Committee for Student Residence Affairs meeting.
8. Information on the granting or refusal of a place in dormitory is only given electronically by publishing it on your e-KUL account. Information can also be obtained in person in the student residence hall.
9. As per the 2025/26 Application schedule:
a. At the the Committee for Student Residence Affairs meeting on July 25, 2025, the following applications will be reviewed: applications submitted by current residents, applications from students who have not previously lived in KUL student residences, applications submitted by newly admitted first-cycle (Bachelor’s), long-cycle Master’s, and second-cycle (Master’s) students,
b. At the Committee for Student Residence Affairs meeting on 7 August 2025, other applications of students recruited for second degree programs shall be considered,
c. At the Committee for Student Residence Affairs meeting on 11 September 2025, applications of students from other universities and applications from outside the Catholic University of Lublin shall be considered.
d. At the Committee for Student Residence Affairs meeting on September 11, 2025, applications submitted by students from other universities and individuals not affiliated with KUL will be reviewed.
10. An applicant who has been granted accommodation in a student residence hall must confirm acceptance of the offer by paying a booking deposit equivalent to the monthly rent for the assigned bed within the specified timeframe:
a) The booking deposit must be paid by 1 October for places granted on 24 September.
b) The booking deposit must be paid by 1 August for places granted on 25 July.
c) The booking deposit must be paid by 14 August for places granted on 7 August.
d) The booking deposit must be paid by 18 September for places granted on 11 September.
The deposit serves as security for the costs of any damage caused to the student residence or non-payment of the fee for a stay in the student residence. The deposit shall be returned at the student’s request, after the student has been finally evicted from the student residence, in accordance with § 4 of the Student Residence Regulations of the Catholic University of Lublin.
Information on the payment amount and method will be included in your student accommodation offer. If payment is not received by the deadline, your accommodation will be forfeited.
11. The accommodation plan is prepared by the Head of the Student Dormitory Section, with due consideration given, where feasible, to the preferences of current dormitory residents.
12. Students from other universities and individuals who are not affiliated with KUL but wish to live in a KUL student residence should complete the fillable PDF application form and then send a scan of the signed printout to the email address of the relevant student dormitory.
13. Students who have terminated their accommodation during the academic year in order to return the deposit should complete and return the signed application to tomasz.kolodziejczyk@kul.pl. Application for refund of deposit.
